Buongiorno e buona Domenica a tutti! --- As always, even this year I joined a meeting on experimental archaeology, called "From prehistory to the metal age", organized by a close friend living in the nearby town of Macerata. This was the fifth edition of the event, that has reached a chronological completeness it's been a couple of years: there're enthusiasts working a great number of materials such as flint, bone, wood, food, bronze and iron. The time limit goes then from the Paleolithic to the Iron Age, which I represent. Plus, there were some interactive didactical banquets this year, to amuse the youngest and let them deal with cave paintings, whistles and clay working. Being bronze meltings the most spectacular activities, for what concerns iron I dedicated myself to forge the Novilara type short sword, which I finished with a perfect quench. I'm now leaving room to the pictures, so that you can feel the out-of-time atmosphere that you breathe in the fantastic frame of the Abbadia di Fiastra park.
Il nostro banchetto, dove spicca la sezione antropologica resa possibile da www.slinging.org / Our banquet, where the anthropological section gave me by www.slinging.org is shown.
Forgio la spada di Novilara aiutato da un collega / Here I forge the Novilara sword, with the help of a colleague.
Alcuni dei banchetti e dei manufatti allestiti dagli altri amici sperimentatori / Some of the banquets and artefacts set up by the other enthusiasts!
I banchetti didattici, e la buona risposta dei bambini, che si sono divertiti un mondo / Didactical banquets and the good feedback of the kids, who've really enjoyed them!
Arrivederci al prossimo anno / See you next year!! Ciao, Mauro.
